About IMASG

Our Story

International Musicians Association Singapore (IMASG) is a non-profit public welfare organization and professional institution registered with the Registry of Societies (ROS), Singapore, in 2017. The association was founded by a distinguished group of domestic and international musicians residing in Singapore, including first-generation pianist Elaine Yi-Li Wu, renowned violinist Mr. Kong Zhao Hui, and Dr. Nicholas Ong, Head of the Keyboard Department at the Singapore Nanyang Academy of the Arts, among others.

The association’s mission is to cultivate a distinctive Singaporean musical culture—one that is rooted in Singapore and extends to the global stage. This vision reflects both our core purpose and our unwavering commitment.

Since its establishment, IMASG has successfully organized seven editions of the Singapore Golden Lion International Music Festival. Despite the challenges brought by the pandemic, the festival has continued to grow, with total participation exceeding ten thousand people.

The Singapore Golden Lion Awards is more than a competition platform; it serves as a bridge for international cultural exchange. The event is dedicated to discovering and nurturing artistic talent while advancing the global development of music and the arts.
